Camera control-360 turntable

How is the camera controlled in this project?

Looking at the project page, it’s controlling the camera via an infrared (IR) communication method. That’s what the IR LED is for. They’re using a library for the IR communications. Explained here: http://www.righto.com/2009/08/multi-protocol-infrared-remote-library.html?m=1

Thanks for your reply. I followed the link and saved your blog page for further reading… Right now it’s all Greek to me, but I’ll get through it.:

Hi,
I’m trying to get this project working, but it appears that there are 2 conflicting wiring schematics in the instructions. Has anyone got a photo of the circuit working, on a breadboard? My arduino is reading as recognising the devices but the LCD is blank and the motor is not turning.
If anyone is able to help, I’d be really grateful!
Tom

Could you link to the instructions please?

Might also help if we saw your wiring.

So here are the conflicting versions:
In the main instructions:

The schematic:

Photos of the breadboard setup, followigng the first schematic:

(I know I haven’t soldered the LCD-at present I’m more concerned with getting the stepper motor working!)
Thanks,
Tom

Sorry I’ve not had a chance to look into this Tom. I’m somewhat snowed under with work these days. :slightly_frowning_face:

That’s fine. When you get a chance, it would be very much appreciated! I’m sure it’s something simple I’ve missed off…

@tomomahoney - Hi tom, did your ever get at response on the schematic for the 360 turntable ?
Do you have it working now - I am planning on starting this project…And would like to know if it works.
