Hello all. New member here. I have a project that has used an optical diode to measure a light beam. That component is not in the menu. I also want to use a thermocouple due to the high temperatures expected. I have the components in my shop and don’t need them for current prototypes.

Does Circuito support thermocouples and optical diodes or sensors outside the list of offerings?

The feature of writing the codes is nice, if I don’t have the components in the list, then the code is also not generated.

I am certain there are workarounds, I am hoping by asking it will take less time to find them.

Hi,

We currently don’t support thermocouples (we will add this into our backlog), meanwhile you can use the DS18B20 1-Wire Temperature Sensor - Waterproof which can measure up to 257°F or use the NTC Thermistor 10k.

Regarding the optical diode, whiche model are you planning to use ?

In circuito.io you can find the Adafruit TSL2591 High Dynamic Range Digital Light Sensor (Lux) which probably can suit your needs.
