Suggest a component

i want RTD sensor to measure the temperature with the high accuracy as soon as possible

can you add RTD sensor soon? As i want to measure the temperature with the high accuracy.

Hello Anat, congrats on the great project you guys have put together. I sent you a direct email @circuito.io with a component suggestion, the HeroCore ONE, which is a microcontroller based on Arduino MEGA but smaller and better. Hope I can help, possibly.
Should I also use the online procedure on your website for adding the component?
Best Regards

Flavio

Hi Flavio,
I tried to look for that controller and barely managed to find it here: http://heromechatronics.com/en/core-details/

It appears that this controller is not yet available in the market as it has no details about it. Therefore it would be quite hard to do something with it.

But, since you wanted an Arduino MEGA compatible microcontroller but smaller I can suggest using:

OR

The differences between them is that the Mega 2560 PRO MINI don’t have a USB connector and serial adapter (CH340) like the known Arduino pro mini, while the Mega 2560 PRO (Embed) do have them (so it’s more similar to Arduino mega).
The “Embed” board is a little bit bigger in size.
I think they should both be identified by the Arduino IDE as an “Arduino MEGA 2560”.

There’s a review about them here: https://idyl.io/robotdyn-mega-pro-mini-embed-arduino-review/

Good Luck!

Hello Prachi,
I looked for RTD Sensors and found these

You could maybe try to use NTC Thermistor as this is a very similar component.
It changes it’s resistance according to the temperature.

You could try to change the parameters according to the datasheet of your sensor in the “Thermistor.h” file.

#define THERMISTOR_R_NOM 10000 // Ro: defined resistance at 25 degrees C
#define THERMISTOR_T_NOM 25 // T0: temp. for nominal resistance (almost always 25 C)
#define THERMISTOR_B_COEF 3977 // B: The beta coefficient of the thermistor (usually 3000-4000)
#define THERMISTOR_S_RES 10000 // the value of the ‘other’ resistor

Let me know if that helps and I would be happy to know if you can provide a link to a specific sensor you thought about.

Good Luck!

Hello robo-ziv!
Thank you very much for your reply and suggestions.
I know HeroCore is not available for the masses, but in Italy it is already used in some schools, and starting september 2019 it will be in many schools, meaning thousands of students. It will be in the shop this month though.
We would love to be able to use circuito.io as well, as educational tool. I have all the material and details about HeroCore ONE, as well as the Fritzing part (fzpz).
If possible id love to contribute to your project by helping populating your repository on github.
Thank you again, Flavio

Hey Flavio, I think that would be awesome! Once we have the Component Editor up, I’ll inform you and you can try to add it

Hello sswcharlie! Here is the link to the product: https://www.dfrobot.com/product-1367.html

Sincerely,
aidancuckoo.

Can we please have a 4x4 keypad

I’m forwarding this from syracusepro for you to see.

Sincerely,
aidancuckoo.

Dear JakeBoss, I couldn’t find the link to the product you’re trying to add. Could you put the model in a reply below?
Sincerely,
aidancuckoo

might you add the two items below

PLANTOWER PMS 5003
Nova PM SDS011

and thingspeak if possible

Hello Jonboy43! Thanks for your suggestions. I will link the 2 products for others to add.

http://www.plantower.com/en/content/?108.html

Note: I have looked at the website for the Nova PM SDS011 but weirdly it shows a weird thingy in the onebox.

cheers aidan,

will there be some sort of notification when they’re added.

whta do you mean by the weird thingy??

regards

jh

Hi JH, there won’t be a note when a new component is added. Also by “weird thingy” I mean wrong details. You see, it shows other details that I think aren’t part of the page! See in the pictures attached.

Do you have a GitHub account, by any chance? If you do, then why not add it yourself! Go onto circuito.io, scroll down to Create & Edit components(if you want a shortcut then why not click Controllers and scroll down the short list.), accept the heads up then you’ll be transported to GidPod to add your components!

I’m a beginner may be you can be of help

Hello, could you please consider adding ZMPT101B componet?

Thanks in advance

Hi Aldo! Thank you for your message! I’m sure somebody will post it…
